The GCmate II GC/MS is the world's only benchtop, double-focusing magnetic sector system. It provides high-resolution sector performance in a system that is as simple to operate as a low-resolution quadrupole. Its user-friendly features include: automatic tuning, automatic PFK reference introduction, classical “database searchable” spectra and software designed specifically for high-resolution, accurate mass measurements. GCmate II is a perfect fit for walk-up academic environments and is also a worthy upgrade for any laboratory with aging GC/MS instrumentation.

However, GCmate II is more than just a routine GC/MS instrument. Because of its award winning sector-based ion optics, GCmate II is also well suited for highly-specialized GC/MS applications. GCmate II is capable of a resolving power of 5,000 or greater and a m/z range of 1-3,000. Its peerless low-mass performance even allows you to distinguish H₂⁺ from D⁺.

Standard capabilities include EI, CI and selected ion monitoring (SIM). Optional attachments include: DIP, FAB and linked scan (MS/MS).
