July 16, 2026 — Peabody, Mass. — JEOL USA, Inc. has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of two members of its leadership team, Donna Gosselin and Steve Tryon. In addition, Dr. Thomas Isabell was appointed President of JEOL USA. Together, they bring decades of leadership experience spanning product management, applications, and field service, further strengthening the company's governance and strategic direction.
Dr. Thomas Isabell has been a member of the JEOL management team since 2003, serving most recently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and, before that, as Vice President of Product Management. He has been instrumental in the introduction of the company's ARM series and CryoARM transmission electron microscopes. Dr. Isabell holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in the same field from the University of Minnesota.
Donna Gosselin is Director of Product Management and a chemist with more than 20 years of experience in scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. She joined the JEOL USA electron microscopy product team in 2002, following more than 15 years as an analytical and research chemist in industry. Her combined technical and industry background helps align customer needs with product innovation.
Steve Tryon is Director and General Manager of the Service Division. He began his career with JEOL USA in 1995 as a Field Service Engineer in Southern California and moved through field service and service management roles over three decades, relocating to the corporate headquarters in Peabody, Massachusetts in 2016. He holds degrees in Engineering Technology and Business, along with credentials in Supervisory Management and Field Service Management.
