Introduction of SRM compound data files to support SRM measurement method creation
MSTips No. 321
When performing simultaneous analysis of pesticide residues in food, there are many items to be set for each compound, and creating new measurement conditions requires a lot of time. The JMS-TQ4000GC is equipped with a "SRM Compound Data File" as standard, which summarizes the optimal transitions and collision energies (CE) for each compound to perform SRM (Selected Reaction Monitoring) measurements under optimal conditions. The SRM measurement method and quantitative analysis conditions can be easily created by selecting the target compounds from the data file. Currently, more than 400 pesticide components that are subject to measurement by GC/MS in food pesticide residue analysis are pre-installed. In addition, the "SRM Optimization Tool”, which automatically detects optimal transitions and CEs for target compounds, is included as a standard feature to powerfully support the creation of SRM measurement methods for new compounds that have not been registered in the SRM compound data file. In this paper, SRM Compound Data File" and "SRM Optimization Tool" are introduced.
